The Binghamton Rifle Club is primarily a club devoted to indoor informal plinking, and practice as well as target competition.

The clubhouse is located at 579 Conklin Road, just outside of the Binghamton City Limits 1/4 mile West of Eureka Camping Center.

We have 15 turning targets, a ready room, a kitchen and indoor plumbing (his & hers). All shooting is at 50 feet or less. Only lead bullet handgun ammunition and .22 rimfire rifle ammunition may be used on the range. Magnum and full load pistol calibers are allowed on positions 12-15 only. Any air pistol or air rifle may be used on the range.

One of the favorite activities at the club is participation of teams in the weekly competition of the Interstate Pistol Association. All that is needed to get started is a good .22 handgun with adjustable sights, and a few accessories such as safety glasses and ear muffs. This league shoots every Friday night from September through March, with a few nights off for the holidays.

On Monday nights, there is a .22 Sporterifle Competition. This is a state wide postal league with scores sent by mail for determining weekly match winners. Any .22 rimfire rifle with metallic or scope sights can be used as long as the total weight is not more than 7 1/2 pounds.

Club Sporterifle and Pistol Championship Matches are held each winter for members only. Awards for each match are given at the annual Spaghetti Dinner. Social matches, such as the Kielbasa Match, are held during the year.

In the Spring, The Binghamton Rifle Club sponsors one of the several matches held state-wide for the New York State Indoor Pistol Championship. This is one of our fund raising projects. International sectional pistol matches are also held in March.

At various times, courses in safety and marksmanship are offered to club members and also to non-members. This does not mean that instruction is not available at other times. Our club membership has a vast amount of experience in shooting, many being NRA Certified Instructors, and all are willing to share that experience to help new shooters get started. All that one has to do is to ask.

Bullet casting and handloading are also practiced and even encouraged among members at our range.

Current Annual membership dues and fees average about $8.00/month.

Membership fees will be assessed upon approval of each application which can be picked up at the Club or click here to print one (Adobe Reader required). Do not send remittance until notified.

Payment of annual dues and fees entitles the member to use the range at any time, day or night. whenever there are no activities scheduled. Access to the club is via a barcode card and reader at the front door. The card issued to each member is good as long as dues and fees are paid. Members in good standing are automatically authorized access each year upon payment of all dues and fees. Targets are furnished although a $1.00 range fee is required each time the range is used.
